Latin American Cooperatives Collection
An international showcase for the Latin American co-operative movement
PortailCoop already hosts collections that reflect the main lines of research and action within the global cooperative movement. Each of these collections stems from a simple conviction: cooperative knowledge on a specific subject deserves its own dedicated, structured and internationally visible space.
From a regional perspective, Latin America is one of the most dynamic and diverse regions within the global cooperative movement. Knowledge relating to the structure, practices and models of the movement remains scattered, inaccessible and absent from the global cooperative debate. The projet of a Latin American Cooperatives Collection seeks to fill this gap by bringing together, for the first time in a single, structured space, institutional information on the region’s main cooperative groups, as well as all available grey literature and academic publications on the Latin American cooperative movement. Reports, white papers, studies, internal documents and academic work – currently scattered or hidden from view – will finally be accessible via the global cooperative movement’s reference platform.
